The Baby Faced Assassin is Back!

Marco Antonio Barrera made a triumphant return to the ring last night at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California, as he scored a dominating tenth round TKO over former junior featherweight king Paulie Ayala in the main event of HBO's Boxing After Dark.

Barrera (58-4, 40 KOs), in his first start since losing to Manny Pacquiao last November, still showed that he was one of the best fighters in the world, pound for pound, as he systematically broke down Ayala (35-3, 12 KOs) with skillful boxing stylings for the first half of the bout, and then in the second half, the "Baby Faced Assassin" turned up the heat, knocking Ayala down twice in the eighth round and once in the tenth. After the final knockdown, referee Pat Russell mercifully halted the contest, putting Barrera right in the thick of the ultra-competitive featherweight division
