Fighter Biography

The first time Oscar Duarte stepped in a boxing ring was at 11 years old when his friends invited him to a sparring gym. Boxing seemed like Duarte’s life calling ever since, as he went on to claim five state championships, five regional championships, four national titles, and a bronze medal.

Little has changed for Duarte since turning professional in 2013, as Duarte has put together an undefeated record at boxing’s highest level. Duarte began his professional career with a second-round knockout over Jesus Reyes in 2013. While his only fight of 2014 resulted in a draw with Rodolfo Zermeno, Duarte returned to the ring in 2015 with a technical knockout of Jasiel Duran and a decisión over Alejandro Salinas in August, landing himself a promotional contract with Golden Boy Promotions. Currently co-managed by Latin star Gabriel Soto and Guillermo Roacha, Duarte was last seen at LA FIGHT CLUB February 2016 defeating Archie Weah via unanimous decision and also defeating Luis Lizarraga Jr. on June 4 via decision on the non-televised undercard of Francisco Vargas vs. Orlando Salido at the StubHub Center.
